Burnsville Today news May 8 – School Milk grant approved technology, Athena Awards

Last night, the board of Burnsville-Eagan-Savage of Education has approved the appointment of Don Leake permanent as principal for Eagle Ridge High School in Savage. For the past year, the principle Leake interim report is filling the interim position at Burnsville High School principal Dave Helke, this position was made permanent in March. The board also approved a lease agreement to finance the installation of artificial turf at Hanson Field in Pates Stadium. Construction is to beginthe day after the conclusion of Saturday, June 6. The council approved the $ 170,000 federal grant for technology and teacher training for more interactive learning tools for finance in the classroom. Improving education through technology or E2T2 grant will help the district purchase Smart Boards, LCD projectors, laptops, student response clicker and most used in the next two school years. The Board also approved grants for each E2T2 teachers in each school with grades 3-8, to facilitate the formationand technology sessions. Each E2T2 teachers receive $ 440 per year.
